Tinley Park, IL: Starball Sports and Entertainment will be covering the United States Hockey League in the near future with a start date TBD.
CEO Delorean Fleetwood had this to say regarding the announcement (still attending to financial matters in Las Vegas): “We are excited to cover the top tier of junior hockey in the United States with the USHL in our near future. The league goes back to 1947 and currently features 16 teams across eight states with both Dakotas, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio making up the layout of the league. As the top tier of junior hockey in the USA Hockey System, the USHL’s stock of developing high-quality NHL Draft picks over the last few years has sky rocketed. The league has shown to be superior to the Junior A level in the CJHL system, with two Eastern Time Zone teams looking at possibly joining the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in the near future. Even with the NCAA-CHL ruling, the league is arguably one of the best places to take in a hockey game along with NCAA contests. Please stay tuned for our official launch of covering this league in the near future.”

The USHL was founded in 1947 and features 16 teams across eight states. It is the top league in USA Hockey as the lone tier I league.
